Generally I do not do up-dos or heavily styled hair, such as flat ironing. I really like to help people learn how to do their own hair (”it never looks like that when I do it”) with product application help and styling techniques. I have lots of experiance with curly hair and textured styles.

I graduated from hair school in New Orleans in 1991 and began my career as apprentice to one of the top stylists in the city. There I received extensive training in coloring, haircutting and styling and was certified by Goldwell as a colorist and eventually became a lead stylist and manager. In 1996 I moved to Seattle, where I worked at a salon as a stylist. I was the Logics certified color tech and a network educator for Bumble and bumble. For that position I attended classes about twice a year in New York City, focusing on public speaking and team building and came back to train the staff on product knowledge and styling techniques. It was a great experience and also taught me that I never want to be a public speaker!

In 2005 a coworker and I decided to venture out on our own and we opened Deluxe. We had the same ideals, to provide quality hair care in a relaxed and casual environment. I love it because I can make my own hours and bring my dog{s) to work. What other job do you have where people you like come in and see you every day? We have been in business since September of 2005.

We are carrying www.davines.com products and some American Crew and Difi.

You will be greeted, if they are awake, by a German Shorthaired Pointer or two. Watch out for Cindy Lou…if you love on her too much you may end up holding her!
